Here I'll post highlights and lowlights from my gleeful crash divings to defeat M in as few turns as possible per this comp that Pete Mack graciously linked me to: http://angband.oook.cz/competition.php?showcompo=189. Thanks Pete!

Even more fun than HT Warrior!

Shame about the Ancalagon death as I had found the most powerful ammo I've ever seen. Eighteen (+17, +27) seeker bolts of Holy Might; shortly after ditching a haradrim for a buckland, naturally.

In the linked video we can easily see how I could have approached this better. Sure my sling of power was good, but engaging in battle slowed is just silly. I should have stepped back into the room and waited for the guys to come to me and fight them in melee. No matter! My current @ has found another sling of power fairly early. I wasted a thousand turns or so hunting down Wrath of God on DL5, though.

Some highlights:

Orfax drops me Telepathy helm on DL16.

?Phase wouldn't barely give me a square's space from Beorn on DL39, but I narrowly dispatched him. A light xbow <+1> (+4, +20) has been very helpful, found in a special room on DL27. Narrowly seems to be a theme in these Glass games.

Leather sandals of speed are a little lackluster at <+2> found lying around on DL36.

Nearly got crushed to death by a Roc on DL41.

Finally upgraded my ring of the mouse <+1, +4> with a DEX ring <+4> taken from an Ancient red dragon on DL41.

A vault on DL42 offers me up Gloves of power <+5> and rod of TO.

Still alive, nearly died a few times in the last outing.

Finally found decent slippers of speed <+6> and a RoS <+7> which, together, are game changers.

Other notable happenings: Wren the Unclean dropped me a <+4> <+1> "Trickery. And I found a <+2> Dwarven armor. Now I just need CON potions, and Telepathy off-helm so I can wear the crown of might I found. And then it's S&M to smithereens! I also bought ~True Sight from the BM.
