Yeah. You could have had double rpois at your level, if you were lucky with the high fail rate. Going into a fight with a mass of summoners, full buffing (Including resists) is a good idea.
Since you are now diving relatively fast, it might be worth investing in a bit more CON at the beginning. Yes, it'll cost in early melee, but that is what magic devices and arrows are for.
