So I may not fight Sauron with this rig--CON 18/200 instead of 18/200 would be better--but it's pretty fun to have 4 immunities and NO resistances in the big 3 slots (Resist acid is essentially impossible to avoid.) And no, I'm not using The One Ring.

I'd do better with 1 more CON for 18/200, and as a mage, I'd rather have higher base speed than 21, too.

So. That was easy. Morgoth started in a spiral vault, which made nice sight lines, and made escapes from summons really easy. I dodged behind corners to heal, and used Rift to make space for melee.

I had plenty of !rMana, so just used Annihilation when Morgoth was open, and Mana Storm when he wasn't, along with a whole lot of banishing.

I briefly used the Tarrasque to increase damage output, since I had immunities and rDis, while Morgoth didn't. I arranged to have it far away, with morgoth just in front. It breathed Disenchantment 3 times before locking itself and Radagast behind rubble with fire breaths followed by cold. I used the same tactic on Ancalagon, along with the 4 immunities. Some friendly Law Dragons really did for him.

Unfortunately, I failed to make a final character dump, because of the screen dump bug.

Interesting... I guess that this technique would not have been safe with the old breath damage rules? One manastorm + one resisted Tarrasque Dis breath would have been more than 771hp with the old mechanics, I think, or am I wrong?

shame you didnt get that char dump .... speaking of which .. what do you do with a char dump file. say, if you had just got your first win, and had *no idea* how to upload it.

It wouldn't work at all. Not only would it be full damage, it'd be a ball spell focused on me that would either miss Morgoth entirely, or at best do half damage.
Edit: this technique works best against the dragon uniques. They summon lots of high-element breathers. It sometimes works on demon unique too, if they summon cold breathers. It works best on Pazuzu, since he doesn't resist fire. Without resists, they take up to 1600 damage per breath.
