Wield Isildur. It's your best armor so far and protects against confusion. Hammerhand is great, and should be saved, but right now you NEED telepathy. Get that ESP helm on @'s head until you have an alternative source of ESP. Drop all the extra copies of MB5 (Scarabtrices). Dungeon books are immune to fire, therefore you only need one copy. Six copies of MB4 (sorcery) is overkill, 2 or 3 should do. If you ever get immunity to fire, drop all extra copies of every book.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

Yeah I should have posted the dump after I cleaned it of redundacies.

about the telepathy, I am wearing an amulet of ESP, isn't that enough?

about inscription, just to make it clear: if I write {!g} it should mean: "always ask for confirmation before picking up" or something like that, right? the @ and !! commands are working, but I can't seem to figure this one out. I don't really care about dropping but these books keep stacking, that's why I always have so many, and I forget about dropping them. So avoiding picking them up in the first place would be better.

Yeah, I just didn't notice the ESP amulet. Do a comparison on damage output, Telepathy helm with Weaponmastery vs. ESP amulet with Hammerhand. You probably have the right build for now.

"!" plus letter command means get confirmation before doing the keypress action. However, if you have the option set to automatically pick up inventory items, then !g might not help, since you aren't using a command to pickup the item. Personally, I turn off the automatic pick-up options, especially once I'm past the early game. On the dungeon books, once you have one in inventory, if it is inscribed with !k (don't squelch), then you can use the ignore menu to get rid of all further instances. Sometimes, I will even ignore the town books (with the ones in inventory marked with !k) and only unignore them if the inventory burns.

Except for the somewhat scary rPoison hole, that character is endgame strong. Stay away from Great Swamp Wyrms (and a few others like Carcharoth). Do keep temporary poison resist active. It's a huge help.

I died at level 90 at the hand of carcaroth... silly me for using a scroll of deep descent to jump some levels faster I got killed in around 5 rounds... at the beginning I though: "ok I can handle this" then I received a blow of nether that knocked me from 570/925 to 0/920

ok but at least first time I made it this far Will try again soon! And thank you all for your help, I'll create new dumps of next tries as soon as I can

There is basically no difference between dlvl 80 and dlvl 98. No normal monster has a native depth lower than 80.

              But commiserations for the loss.

well I was at level 50 when I used the scroll... hoped to get around lvl 70 instead of that. there where like 4 uniques in that level: Carcaroth, a Balrog, and 2 others I don't remember the name... I kept teleporting to find an easy exit instead I ran right into my doom

Deep Descent should always take you 5 levels deeper than your deepest depth. You really went from 50 to 90 in one jump?

I had gone, previously, until lvl 86 (just diving). I only had to run away a few times but I was doing fine. then I went back to town, put everything in my home, started diving again; at around lvl 50 I was tired of doing one level at a time and tried to jump. And that was it

BBy the way, I had understood that deep descent takes you AT MOST to your deepest depth+5. Is that wrong?

Technically true, but the only situation in which it won't do that is if you run into Sauron or Morgoth's home levels (99 and 100). Otherwise, it's always a 5-level jump.
