Latest PWMAngband game:

"Your Mithril Bolt of the Elves (5d5) (+5,+6) dissolves Vecna, the Emperor Lich (275). You feel something roll beneath your feet. Vecna, the Emperor Lich is destroyed. You see a Plain Gold Ring {Vecna, the Emperor Lich} (on a pile)."

Funny this is... I don't really need the One Ring with this character at all.

What I have learned is that you rarely do when you find it, but it would be sacrilege not to use it if you find it.
