High-elf rogue just picked an ill-advised fight with a white jelly. Had just killed the jelly, was poisoned and at 0 HP, and oh, I just picked up two un-ID'd potions off the floor near the jelly...

They turned out to be Neutralize Poison.

And that's why you always play to your outs. I actually like being poisoned when I have unidentified potions in the early game (though not at 0 hp...) because it simultaneously lets me check for Cure XYZ Wounds and Neutralize Poison.
