hT Warrior cleared GV ... help needed

    Hi all

I just had very fun and succesfull run on GV "the reward is worth of it". When I 1st entered level 44, I got message about dead haunting on level, that got me very scarred, and I quaffed !oEnlightment. It revealed one pitshaped room and a GV. Pit shaped room turned out to be filled blood suckers, vampire bats and various level of vampires, it was push over. (no need to worry about exp / clvl loss with my current weapon). After that I started to mess up with that GV, inside there was only 3 uniques; Tselakus (dlvl 68, so 24 levels OoD), Saruman (16 levels OoD) and Dwar (12 levels OoD). Also there was blue wizard and couple of GWoI, one demilich, etc. Oh, and one nightwalker, so I decided to use my ?oBanishment on 'W'. 1st I tunneled antisummoning corridor on top of entrance of GV, then it was just entering and killing stuff, until dangerous opponents could be lured into antisummoning corridor. Everything went smootly until Tselakus summoned ringwraith, Adunaphel. Antisummoning corridor is less usefull on 2 monsters going trough walls, so I teleported and figted on other place. It was actually quite easy. Then I cleared remaining of the vault. (Saruman and other ringwraith was killed on that antisummoning corridor).

Like GV's name tells, reward was worth of it...

    Here is my char dump:

So, what I should wear in future? is -6 speed good trade off from IMM_Elect? Swapping weapon would require changing head gear, which would drop my STR... Any suggestions?

I can't decide about the other things but this is the must:

    the Long Bow of Helos (x3) (+16,+14) <+2, +1>
Found lying on the floor in a vault at 2700 feet (level 54).

+2 intelligence, constitution, charisma, shooting speed.
    +10% to searching.
    Branded with flames.

Two extra shots with branding every shot.

I would also try to fit this in somehow:

    p) the Katana 'Elfar' (4d5) (+13,+18) [+4] <+5>
Found lying on the floor in a vault at 2700 feet (level 54).

    +5 intelligence, speed.
    Slays orcs.
    *Slays* dragons.
    Branded with flames.

+5 speed has quite a big impact on game. Definitely better weapon than what you are currently using.

Yeah, I have tried to fit it in, but problem is lowering dex, it costs me blows.

But damage is about same with this weapon, this would cost me loosing ESP ans SI, which would require changing helm or amulet, loosing damage or blows.

Main thing is the ESP, keeping blows and keeping CON. Is there items that I can actually sell? I suspect 2 cloaks from home, 2 shields from home, amulet of devotion, 2 gloves from home, all weapons from home?

I think I would still make the swap.

I see your problem with ESP and SI. Can't give solution, so current melee it is. Noticed also that you don't seem to have much ego-things with you. Some of them are actually very good.

rPoison seems to be another problem, you have only one source for it, and that source doesn't give you anything else that isn't already covered by other things.

Speed vs IM_ELEC I'd say use both. RoS can't be destroyed while you wear it, and when you swap in that IM_ELEC ring it still can't be destroyed because now you have immunity. I would keep RoS as main ring and swap to IM_ELEC when you need elec resist.

Tough call. I'd go with that Fromuri dagger just for the damage, but ESP is nice especially for a warrior.. Oh and SI also. Not good

I don't consider electricity immunity *that* important, there are only a few nasty breathers and the best rods can't be destroyed by electricity.

I guess it depends on playing style, but I´d go with the ESP weapon (because it enables diving) and speed over elec immunity for now. The idea is to avoid unpleasant fights till some other source of ESP pops up, then switch to a better weapon. Your best weapon atm is the elec branded Flail; with +8 dam it can be enchanted further (read the ench weapon scrolls you find on it), also better stats will give more blows with it so it still has potential for growth.

Fire branded arrows are an option; personally I am not a great fan of extra shots as the arrows get depleted rapidly. I prefer extra might/high dam enchantment on bows, even if the dam/turn is a bit lower. In the end it doesnt matter much which bow you choose - improve your melee with dex or your archery with the branded one, either works.

A bit lower, maybe, but in this case he is practically sextupling his distance damage. That is enormously powerful weapon, far better than his melee-weapons. All of the melee-weapons.
