    Favorite Early Drops

Found another suit of Law Dragon Scale mail on my rogue, dropped from a novice rogue on level 8 last one was on my warrior at level 10 from Wormtongue, that was of resistance. Its like having a rocket launcher. Breathing sound/shards for 230 damage, and stunning half the time. Second favorite was rod of drain life at level 6.

My best V character to date found a Rod of Acid Bolts on DL1. Being a mage, he was even able to use it. He survived to DL70 or so IIRC.

My current NPP Brigand picked up an Amulet of ESP on DL2. Not much since. We'll see where it takes her.

Killed a blue yeek on level 14. It dropped an unknown potion. Hey, at this stage most of them are still unknown, so my orc warrior naturally drank it to identify it.

...Well, now I know the object flavour for a Potion of Life, anyway.

Good thing we don't have potions of death anymore. You could have got a real "how many hit points?" -moment.

I remember the first time I saw a potion of death, I just happened to ID it by a scroll rather than drinking, that character and several after it never drank another unknown potion, just in case...

It took her to about DL20. That's when the ever more clever RNG conned her into replacing the Aumlet of ESP with one of teleportation {cursed}. She ended up sandwiched between hill orcs and dark hounds... no place to go.

Seriously, the yeeks have all the good treasure. Got a pair of +10 speed boots from one at level 18 a few games ago, and now a Staff of Holiness at level 25. Forget clearing vaults, yeek-hunting is obviously the way to go.

Started a Ranger, level 3 a novice rogue drops a ring. Put it on its cursed, I'm thinking ring of searching. Go to hit a centipede and get the fail to damage sign 4 times in a row. So I look at the ring "ring of damage (-0,-9)"
