I meant to spend more time reading, and less time playing, but now I've got the weekend to try to power through a few books. And I've got my 2nd winner, with a warrior no less.
I have never had any luck (well, it was probably not ever making the switch between I've got 3/4 blows a round I can plow through anything and I'm deep enough I actually need to pick my fights) getting a warrior past the mid 20's.
Here's the final posting to the ladder:
I have to add that the Spear of Orome is really a pretty nice weapon. It served me very well after my stats had been nexus scrambled and my dex went down the drain. The rock to mud feature was handy for finishing an emergency ASC too.
