    So lucky...

    So I thought that my character had the perfect kit. But I guess I somehow missed the res electrical attacks. So I'm attacking a Great Storm wyrm and lucky for me he didn't breath once. Otherwise this could have been a YASD post. It gets even better after I realise that gap in my resistances I go back to town and the armoury still has Pauraegen. I'm so lucky. Usually stupid stuff like this gets you killed.

    It's lucky but not obscenely lucky.

    A great wyrm will cast a spell 25% of the time, one of them being a breath. So you have a 1/16 chance of it breathing. Assuming you get the first round in, you need about 2 more rounds before dropping it below 2000 where a breath will not kill you. So two rounds of it not breathing has about 87.8% probability. So you had just over a 12% chance of dying there. Not a risk that you want to be taking often, especially when its avoidable.

      Well considering it was in a line of Acient Dragons summoned my a Law Wyrm...I'd say I was lucky, but then again I had them around a corner so they couldn't all attack.
