    oh dear..

    dave the half-troll rogue had been going so well! a slowly growing collection of decent artefacts and a growing number of unique scalps under his belt. he was a bit deeper than was strictly safe but had a healthy sense of discretion. never really finding enough temp speed items but still giving some of the baddies a try.

    sadly, he was killed by possibly the biggest killer in the dungeon.. carelessness...

    stepped into a room, but in the darkness, something summoned an ethereal dragon which breathed on me. then, not realising the hit as it was the second of a double tap, I stepped again, it breathed again and I was toast..

    I've no idea what summoned, I'd only recently cast detection spells in the corridor outside and I thought I'd been pretty careful and paranoid, but that double step was the killer. after one breath I could ditched outta there pronto...

        we'll never know.. annoying that's who it was!

        I must admit, this is my first proper game with 3.1.2 and I thought it was more... ahh, "interesting" than most.. where "interesting" means "dangerous". still, I thought I got quite a bit of decent kit quite quickly too. best char I've had in a while.. perhaps a paladin next.

          Half-troll priests are really fun You may consider giving it a try. Lots of hp and endless heals
