I read a scroll of recall then as soon as I was entering a shop it recalled me back down in the dungeon. The game message is....

You have a very good feeling......you see no stores here.

with my last character, I recalled back to the dungeon and arrived right in the middle of a large pack of stone trolls. the level message was something along the lines of "you feel pretty safe"...

of course I was, I walked through those trolls like butter, but it still felt a slightly odd message considering my position.

You feel very good.
This place seems reasonably safe.
