YASD - Earth Hounds and stupidity

    1. Recalled before forgetting to sell ego drops for cash.
    2. Recall brought me to a bunch of earth hounds.
    3. Thought I could kill earth hounds, recalled back when I realized it wouldn't happen in time.
    4. In my haste to recall originally, I forgot to buy a new Magic for bEginners, or healing items.
    5. I recalled back to town with 4 hp and a bad cut. 7 steps from the healing shop.

I had just found Anduril too... man I was rockin!

OK, that's a classic. The fact that you were also missing Magic for Beginners (which should almost never happen) is beyond belief.

Character dump? I bet you there was a way to potentially avoid this... did you have phase door?

I didn't really "Forget" it, what happened was there were a few ego's on the floor, and I needed space and well Magic for Beginners is ~30 gold, so it got dropped (since I was going to recall immediately after picking them up)

I forgot to buy it again though, mostly because it was late and I was distracted and tired.

*sigh* That was a YASD I can only blame on my self though, but still, dying 7 steps from the healing shop was painful.

          EDIT:

I could have avoided it if I had used my stone to mud to make a small tunnel to avoid getting breathed on by 5+ hounds at once, didn't realize it until AFTER I had died.

          Code:
          #########################
          .....@ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
          #####&###################
Should have dug here with wand... *sigh*

Dropping things and forget to pick them up again or buying back in town happens to me also from time to time.
My worst failure ever: I don't know how exactly I managed it, but I had a weapon with telepathy and as a swap "The Main Gauche of Azaghal", which provides immunity to fire. I found "The Hard Leather Cap of Thranduil" in a vault so I thought I could get rid of the telepathy weapon and use Azaghal instead. Then I fall through a trap door (because of a stupid move) and to my horror I was wearing that telepathy thingy and had dropped Azaghal.

Those things happen way too often, because I use to play like an addicted for hours and hours until I am too tired.

This exactly sums up my current randart-enabled warrior. Telepathy weapon, wanting to use my fire-immune weapon.

Gotta remember not to ever drop it.....
