    9 hours ... "speedrun"

    This is the best i've been able to do.
    Just over 9 hours from start to victory, but not all in 1 go - 3 separate gaming sessions of 3 hours each.
    I could have cut down at least 2 hours from this because, well, i just forgot i was trying to do a speedrun.

    I can't see myself getting a much better time though. I have it so ingrained in me to minimize risk, that i have to constantly remind myself to push.

    1. this was one of the hardest Morgoth fights i have in years. There were a number of dangerous uniques that were alive, and he summoned them all - terrasque, ancalong, osse (and no rNether), witch king, vecna ..
    2. i had 12 !Mana and i used 6
    I relied mostly on a incredible sling of buckland x4, +2 shots, +24 damage. mithril shots were doing 660 damage.
    I did save 3 wands of annihilation, used them, recharged, then just finished with chaos blast.
    i still dont know if morgoth resists chaos.

    3. gnome because you get built-in FA, identifies wands & staves which is super-useful, XP penalty is really low, and INT bonus, so why not?
    SI will be important early on, but once you have ESP it becomes redundant.

    4. 6 potions of Intellect got me to 18/66, a weapon of *slay animal* with +2 INT, 2x rings of Escaping, before i found any artefacts.
    I was walking around DL98 without rCold or rPois ..

    5. i found The One Ring
    but decided not to use it.

      I managed to fail a 1% spell five consecutive times once...
