Been trying to iron man necromancers. Random race keeps giving me Kobold. I believe this is the farthest I've gotten. I think the best strategy is to buy Dark Rituals before you go down.

Crush is quite useful in the newest incarnation. I love the fact that it doesn't disturb the tougher monsters so you can cast it on mobs, kill a lot of the chaff and leave the rest asleep

Legendary stealth makes up for all manner of sins. You can go as deep as you like and stull pick your fights.

That's probably why I allowed an almost-dead Hezrou to call a Bile Demon who breathed Poison and resistance or no - that was the end.
