There is a font selector in the SDL menu's, but changing it seems to only increase the size of the map screen instead of actually making the characters...

Ah the problem was that I was missing libraries for the mixer. I was able to build with SDL then once I fixed that. But I'm still not able to increase...

I realized my problem with the latency on angband.live was fixed by enabling the online_macros option. Still would be great to play the desktop version...
