Stonefree taught Morgoth a quick lesson in melee.
This win happened with my third warrior, so I was still learning how to play warriors until about the dlvls 50 when I had telepathy and the Arkenstone. Overall satisfying damage output as one might imagine; I wasn't all that satisfied with the hack&slash strategy that warriors bring.
Some highlights of this character: killed almost all the uniques (usually as I encountered them), found some excellent stat boosting auxiliary equipment. There was a cloak with +6 Con and +6 stealth that helped midgame. My first win without one of the artifact rings. So that was cool. I didn't really rely on ranged weapons for fighting, but had a randart short bow that gave me acid immunity.
Some lowlights: a lot of junk weapon randarts (though some of the other randarts made up for that). Killing uniques as I encountered them (especially early on) didn't really result in good equipment, but I didn't really have much TO or escaping abilities until dlvl 40.
Nonetheless, fun times.
