I have my taskbar on the left edge of the screen as opposed to the bottom. The game remembers the position of the main window and all sub windows. When I open the game, the main window is moved to the left by the width of the taskbar. Taskbar confirmed to be the cause by moving it to the bottom temporarily and restarting the game (the shift did not take place). Sub windows are curiously unaffected.
