3.5.0 crash, accented chars in subwindows

Win7 version of 3.5.0 can crash when an accented character appears or disappears in monster or object list subwindow. This happens consistently at least when the subwindow is resized or the location information changes (e.g., 1 N 9 W -> 1 N 10 W) so that an accented character is covered or uncovered.
