Not a bug as such, just something that looks a little strange. Illuminating a room often triggers the second part of the level feeling, presumably because it's revealed a feeling square. However, the level feeling message interrupts the animation of the squares in the room lighting up, so that the game stops on the "You are surrounded by a white light. -more" prompt with the room only partially illuminated.
Once you clear that, you get the level feeling and the room finishes illuminating; after clearing the level feeling, you get the follow up message to the illumination ("You have no more scrolls of light", etc.).
Possibly this could be resolved via the master message buffer idea proposed in #1502?
