I ran a test character in Wizard mode, and it kept the accuracy that was on the ring. The added flags were garbage though. Just slow digestion and one or two resists.

Interesting. Guess I still have things to learn about the game .

The few times I have done it were mostly with sorcerors (who had neither summoning nor geno); the main utility for survival is controlled phasing with portal creation. Now sorcerors are about at the speed cap; so maybe that second ring should be speed, after all. I dont recall if I used Flare much down there; is there anything that doesnt resist the swapping at those depths ?

Flare can create jump gates, so that is why it is useful. Several of the demons and some dragons don't resist teleportation. But swapping is not as useful as the jump gates - typically even after a swap, you are still adjacent to a monster.

Last night, I read a summon never moving pet scroll to summon a Greater Draconic Q.

It chain summoned and we cleared the level.

Then I stepped onto an invisible trap (because there was a pet on top of it). The trap did me in one shot. I was so stunned I forgot to dump my char.

Dont you need like 35 base speed minimum in the nether realm?

In my experience there are two ways to survive in the Nether Realm: chain summoning or mass genocide. Speed is important, but much less so than having a way of avoiding getting mobbed.

I dont recall reading artifact creation on rings. My assumption was based on the fact that a speed ring shop will only ever sell artifact rings based on speed rings.

My bad...Cubragol is of course not an option for the archer. But your list gives you speed > 20, so it should be doable.

Yeah with an archer in the nether realm, you probably want to read scrolls of artifact creation on rings of accuracy if you can live without speed ring. Boots + Cubragol + Flare is 23, close enough.

In your case, ideally you'd get accuracy + sound + shard. The scrolls can be scummed; the hard part is getting accuracy rings.

Cubragol is not a good weapon though. It is only x3.

Flare doesn't give speed. I have a +20 Accuracy ring, but I have not seen an Artifact creation scroll yet. Do I keep the +20 Accuracy if I turn it into an artifact, or does it reroll the accuracy?

I have Arkenstone (3), Ellesar (4), Nenya (2), Boots of Thror (3), RohanKnight Innate (12?) = 24 Speed - and I can Lightspeed jump and potion of speed to give me more speed.
