BTW, has anyone ever noticed that the best characters seem to be the ones that start off seeming like they will go nowhere? I have had characters that made incredible early finds, getting ESP, nice artifacts, even had a character jump about ten levels drinking an unidentified potion that turned out to be a potion of experience. All lost. Now this character struggled at first to find items, went a LONG time with huge gaps in resistances. I remember saying to myself that this character would never win because I usually had found much nicer items by the time I reached
where I was at the time.
Fast forward a few days, the same character has all resists, nice speed, Level 50, and really only in danger of dying from boredom or inattention. Once I got tired of piddling around, I dove probably the last 20 dungeon levels to get to Sauron and Morgoth. Morgoth did not physically touch my character. Darkness storms took quite a bit of HP, but the 2000HP heal spell was 0% fail. Summons were dealt with by either Banishment or TP-Other Morgoth followed by WoD. As long as I took my time and paid attention, victory was mostly assured.
